This simulator projects retirement capital in Israel up to the statutory age, with monthly compound interest, and compares stopping contributions early with continuing them. The retirement age follows 2026 law: 67 for a man, and the National Insurance table for a woman (65 for births from 1970). Gross monthly pension is capital divided by an indicative conversion coefficient.
How to estimate your pension
- Enter gender, current age, the age when contributions stop, capital already saved and the monthly contribution.
- Set an annual return. It is an assumption, not a statutory rate.
- Compare capital and pension with continuous contributions, then the 2026 monthly exemption.
FAQ — Retirement in Israel
- Which retirement age does the simulator use?
- 67 for a man. For a woman, the statutory age depends on the inferred birth year (2026 minus current age): 65 from 1970, with month-level steps for births from 1960 to 1969.
- Where does the conversion coefficient come from?
- There is no single coefficient set by the state. The tool shows a 2026 estimate for new pension funds (about 200 for a man at 67, 215 for a woman at the same age, a little higher for an earlier retirement). The figure that will apply is your fund's bylaw.
- Is the pension shown after tax?
- No. It is a gross pension. In 2026 part of it may be exempt (57.5% up to ₪5,422 a month) if the exemption basket has not already been used.
- Is the 6% rate guaranteed?
- No. It is only the default, and you can change it. The real return depends on the product and its fees.
